FM200 Fire Suppression

FM200 is one of the alternatives to halon 1301 and is used in automatic fire extinguishing equipment for high sensitivity equipment which may be affected by damage due to the use of other fire extinguishers.

This system is often used to extinguish electrical fires in control rooms and electrical distribution. It has no adverse effect on the environment. It has a chemical capacity of 20% and an 80% physical capacity to extinguish the fire. Nontoxic, does not affect the breathing process. Works very well with the theory of fully immersion , where the container is emptied in a few seconds.

The control system receives alarm signals from a fire-detector or a set of sensors and sends a command to the electric control valve which in turn releases the pressure of the nitrogen cylinder N2. The pressure of the FM200 extinguisher is removed from the cylinder under the influence of this pressure to pass through the distribution pipe network which ends with nozzles that work to spread the gas in the (closed) space required to be extinguished.
